Surrounded by the park, players can enjoy the greenery as a backdrop, enhancing the experience.  Whether playing a casual game or improving skills, these courts accommodate all levels of tennis.

Where Imagination Meets Playground Magic

In a corner of Altura Park is a playground area.  Children will find multiple slides, monkey bars, and a small bridge that encourage imaginative play and exploration.

During their activities, children can take a break at the nearby drinking fountain to refresh and regain energy.  Shaded seating and a picnic table provide a place for parents and visitors to relax, all set on soft sand.  This playground is more than just a play area, it is a space for fun and youthful energy.

Kicks and Goals

Four soccer fields are arranged to accommodate different age groups and skill levels. The fields vary in size and layout, serving both young players and experienced athletes. Whether for a casual game or a league match, these well-kept fields provide a reliable space for soccer in the park.

The Enchanting Guardians of Altura Park

In the eastern part of Altura Park, “The Guardians” are a collection of art sculptures included in the City of Albuquerque Public Art Program collection.  Made from Cor-Ten steel and created by artist Nora Naranjo-Morse, these sculptures stand as sentinels over the neighborhood.  Their strong and elegant forms convey a sense of protection, adding artistic value and meaning to the park and its community.
